2.5 consecutive days
The personality (or ego) develops as a mechanism of survival. It functions based on a map of reality - a paradigm - that we accept as true and hold on to unconsciously. This paradigm of reality is a basic image of ourselves as separate, limited, and deficient, living in a world that is largely unsupportive. The mind justifies and defends the limits of this false paradigm by means of inner attacking voices - judgments on ourselves and others that maintain the deficient self-image and draw the line of our development. In this way, the paradigm is projected outwards and becomes true.

Description:
In this seminar we will examine the ways in which the inner attacking voices function and the impact they have on our psyche. We will look at different levels of attacks, including how they may manifest as reactions in our bodies. Participants will be provided with effective tools and techniques to help them identify the source of attacking voices and to begin disengaging from them. This will support an ongoing practice of defending from attacks and recovering what is true within - past the limits and distortions of the false paradigm.
The work will consist of lectures, meditations, group exercises, and individual exercises derived from Western psychodynamic techniques and Eastern spiritual teachings and practices.
